Hassan helped the Mauves to be one point away from the leaders Racing Genk as he scored the opening goal for them in their home clash with Sint-Truiden.

Anderlecht controlled the game from the kick off, and Hassan gave them the lead after 26 minutes when he received a long through pass which made him through on goal, the Egyptian faced the keeper and put the ball gently past him to make the score 1-0.

Hassan's goal was a beautiful one but there is some doubt about it as the ball hit the Egyptian shoulder while he was trying to control it. However, the match referee saw that it wasn't intentional and didn't stop play.

In the 2nd half, Anderlecht continued to control the game and managed to get another goal through the sub Tchite who came on in the 2nd half. Tchite faced the keeper after a fine through pass from Mbarek Boussoufa and sent the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper to make the score 2-0.

In the 73rd minute, Egyptian star Hassan came off and was replaced by Legaar.
