Ahmed Hassan scored from a penalty kick to give Anderlecht the lead in the Super Cup replay. Hassan sent the keeper the wrong way and scored to make the score 1-0. Early on in the 2nd half, Zulte-Waregem managed to pull level but two late goals from the Mauves ended the game in a 3-1 score for Hassan's side who won their first trophy this season.

Hassan won first trophy with Mauves this season

Anderlecht played against Zulte-Wregem in the Super Cup back in July and the game was cancelled and postponed because of heavy rain which made the gameplay impossible.

On wednesday, both sides faced each other in the Super Cup replay and Anderlecht ended the game in a 3-1 win.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan contributed in the win as he scored the first goal for his side from a well taken penalty kick.

Zulte-Waregem pulled level after five minutes from the kick off of the 2nd haf. The goal came through one of their counter attacks as Wouter Vandendriessche met a cross from the right wing with a half volley shot that beat Anderlecht's goalkeeper and ended its path into the back of the net.

In the 77th minute, Roland Juhasz scored the much needed 2nd for Anderlecht from a well placed header while Sianni aded the 3rd in stoppage time to end the game in a 3-1 win for the Mauves.

With this win, Ahmed Hassan won his first trophy with Anderlecht, they still 2nd n the table and they could possibly win the league as well depending on their form in the 2nd half of season.

It should be noted that Hassan and his teammates will be in vacation till the 2nd of January where they start training again.
