Hassan Scores vs Mons-Bergen

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan scored for Anderlecht in their 4-1 home win against Mons-Bergen in the Belgian League. The score was 3-1 for Anderlecht when the Egyptian scored his goal in the 90th minute to end the game in an impressive 4-1 win for the Mauves.

Anderlecht managed to win their home match versus Mons-Bergen to remain in the race with Genk for the top spot in the Belgian league table.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played the full match and scored just before the final whistle to end the game in a 4-1 win for his side.

Anderlecht started the match in a 4-3-3 formation with Egyptian Hassan playing the role of the right midfielder.

The game started wth pressure from the guests who almost scored in a couple of occasions early on. However, poor finishing and luck helped Anderlecht not to concede an early goal.

In the 15th minute, Anderlecht's Van Damme made a very good run from the left flank and crossed the ball across the field to reach the oncoming and totally unmarked Tchite who buried the ball home with one touch from close range to make the score 1-0.

In the 30h minute, Mons-Bergen managed to score the equalizer. The goal story started with a mistake from Ahmed Hassan who gave the ball away cheaply in midfield which led to a counter attack for the guests, they mnanaged to win a freekick just outside the box after a foul on their Brasilian forward Wamberto and Dalmat scored from the freekick as he struck the ball low to hit the foot of the post and get in.

A few minutes after the kick off of the 2nd half, a long ball was played to Hassan in the area, the Egyptian was pushed inside the box and wanted a penalty kick but it wasn't given.

In the 56th minute, Mohamed Tchite made a good run from the left and crossed the ball to Frutos in the box, the Argentinean forward jumped high and headed the ball home to make the score 2-1 for the Mauves.


A few minutes later, Hassan controlled the ball well under pressure and laid it to Goor who found Thite with a cross from the left wing, the later headed home but the referee denied his goal as he was in offside position.

In the 82nd minute, Tchite took advantage of a long goal kick as the ball reached him and he managed to outpace the last man and to bury the ball home past the goalkeeper to make it 3-1 for the homeside.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Hassan got the ball just outside the box, he laid it to an oncoming teammate who shot low at goal, the goalkeeper couldn't hold onto the ball which fell to Hassan and the Egyptian made a good follow and buried it home to make the score 4-1 for the Mauves.
