Ahmed Hassan didn't start the game versus Brussels,
he came on in the last 20 minutes to help his side scotre
the last minute winner which came through Tcheti. The
win was very important for the Mauves as their rivals
Racing Genk wasted three points and so, the deficit
became three points between the two sides.
Hassan's Anderlecht wasted many points
in both the Champions League and Jupiter League as well.
They always conceded goals in the final minutes to end
their matches in a draw rather than wins. The misfortune
ended for the Mauves this weekend as they managed to
score a goal in the 89th minute of their away clash
with Brussels to win the game 0-1.
Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan was rested
after the last Champions League match versus AEK Athens
so he didn't start. However, he came on in the 73rd
minute to replace Vanden Borre and to help his side
emerge victorious in the game.
The first half was quite boring from both
sides who couldn't create enough chances to impress
their fans. The situation continued in the 2nd half,
the chances were more but still, nothing enough to cause
a real threat. It was expected that the game would end
in a tie but Mohamed Tcheti managed to score the precious
winning goal the 89th minute to win the much needed
three points for Anderlecht.
The win will help Anderlecht greatly in
their race for the Belgian league title as it reduced
the points difference between them and the leaders Racing
Genk to three points only.
