Ahmed Hassan and his teammates at Anderlecht lost heavily to AC Milan. The Italian giants achieved a comfortable win over the less experienced Mauves.

The result was a 4-1 win for Milan who had a confident start and scored after only 6 minutes from the kick off through Kaka who opened the scoring from a penalty kick.

The Brasilian midfielder Kaka added a 2nd goal in the 22nd minute after a superb one two with Cafu. The first half was totally dominated by the Italian side and Anderlecht had simply no chance.

In the 2nd half, particularly in the 56th minute, the shining star Kaka sealed his hat-trick when he unleashed a powerful shot into the far corner from the edge of the box to make the score 3-0 for the home team.

Unexpectedly after the 3rd goal, Anderlecht looked in a much better shape as a team, they created many chances but only converted once through Juhasz in the 61st minute.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan was quiet as the rest of his teammates in the first half. However, he won many freekicks thanks to his ability to hold the ball at his fet. In the 2nd half, Hassan had a very close chance to score when the ball fell to him near the six yards box, the Egyptian tried to slide the ball home but he couldn't direct his shot well and missed the target.

Minutes after this attempt, Hassan founf Mohamed Tchite with a fine through pass and the latter owered a shot with his left at goal but Dida made a fine fingertip save and turned the ball away for a corner.

It should be noted that Hassan received a yellow card in the 83rd minute when he played a freekick before the referee's whistle.

In the 88th minute, and against the run of play, Gilardino added the 4th goal through a powerful volley to confirm Milan's win.
