Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht achieved an easy 5-1 win over the second division side Dessel in the Belgian cup. The Egyptian star Hassan played the full match and was everywhere on the pitch. He won a penalty kick which resulted in the first goal and scored the 2nd. Not only this, but the Egyptian assisted the 3rd goal as well.

Hassan played the game from the start as a left midfielder. The Egyptian caused a lot of troubles for the guests through his runs and was clearly the man of the match.

The game started with pressure from Anderlecht in order to score the early goal. The Mauves got their first chance in the opening minutes from a powerful shot by the midfielder Leiva who fired the ball just over the bar from outside the box.

A few minutes later, Anderlecht won a freekick in the left wing, Hassan crossed the ball into the box from the freekick to find the defender Juhasz who almost scored with his head but the goalkeeper turned his header away for a corner.

In the 17th minute, A low pass was played to Hassan in the left side of the box, the Dessel defender couldn't cut the pass and Hassan got the ball and advanced on the goalkeeper who had no other option but to tackle the Egyptian inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot and awarded Anderlecht a penalty kick from which the striker Frutos scored the opening goal.

In the 29th minute, A long ball was played to Hassan, A Dessel defender tried to clear the ball with his head before the Egyptian but he couldn't and Hassan advanced on goal from the left side of the area and smashed the ball into the top corner from narrow angle to double Anderlecht's lead.

Eight minutes later, the Egyptian captain shined once more as he laid the ball with his head to Tchite who tapped it in to make the score 3-0. It was interesting to see the short Egyptian jumping high to beat his taller marker in the air before heading the ball to Mohammed Tchite.

In the 40th minute, Serhat Akin sent a through pass to Tchite who rounded the keeper and took the ball past another defender before sending it home to make the score 4-0 for Anderlecht.

A minute later, Serhat Akin scored by himself as he shot the ball from outside the box to beat the poorly positioned goalkeeper of Dessel and to make the score 5-0 for Anderlecht before the end of the first half.

In the 2nd half, Dessel clawed a goal back from a fine header in the 59th minute to make the score 5-1 but it wasn't more than a consolation goal as Anderlecht continued to dominate the midfield area till the final whistle.

In this half, Hassan created a real chance to Mpenza who came on in the 2nd half, the latter faced the keeper but his shot was blocked.

Hassan also wasted a real chance in the 2nd half from a one on one situation with the keeper but the Egyptian sent the ball oddly wide while it could easily be a 2nd goal for the Egyptian in the game.
