Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht won their home match against y two goals to nil. Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan scored the 2nd goal for his side in the 50th minute.

Anderlecht fans cheering for the Egyptian as he comes off

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan scored a brilliant goal to confirm his side's victory over Lokeren on Saturday. Hassan's side won the game by two goals to nil with Hassan scoring the 2nd goal from a diving header.

Hassan shone in the match and was the best player on the field with his passes and tireless legs. The Egyptian almost scored in the 25th minute from a powerful header but his attempt went just wide.

A few minutes later, particularly in the 45th min. Hassan's teammate Boussoufa crossed the ball into the area to find Frutos who headed it home to give Anderlecht the lead.

In the 2nd half, particularly in the 51st minute, Hassan advanced with the ball and sent an accurate pass to Thcite in the right wing, the latter crossed the ball back to the oncoming Hassan who connected with a superb diving headier that left the goalkeeper with no chance at all.


In the 74th minute, Anderlecht's coach decided to rest the Egyptian star Hassan who came off with the whole stadium cheering for him.

The final minutes of the games witnessed numerous real chances for Anderlechth but they couldn't score any more goal thanks to the Lokeren goalkeeper who made some fine saves to prevent his side from conceding any more goals.

It should be noted that this victory brought Anderlecth back to the first spot in the table.
