Hassan and Anderlecht played their first official game last night versus Zulte-Waregem in the Belgian Super Cup. The score was 0-0 when the referee decided to postpone the match because of the heavy rain that made the pitch more like a lake.

Before the rain, Hassan's Anderlecht dominated the midfield area thanks to the good moves from Hassan, Van den Berg and Boussoufa.

Hassan had a chance to score early on when he tried a shot from outside the box but the goalkeeper blocked the shot, the ball fell from his hands but he hold onto it after a 2Nd attempt.

A few minutes later, Boussoufa received a through pass that made him through on goal, he tried to bury the ball past the keeper but the latter managed to save the ball with his leg.

Hssan had unforgettable miss when Van den Berg laid the ball to him from the right side of the area, the Egyptian tried to bury the ball directly with his left but he missed the target by inches and the chance went begging.

M
inutes later, Hassan missed another big chance when Van den Berg crossed the ball from the right wing into the box, the goalkeeper got a hand to the ball but couldn't hold onto it and Hassan jumped high to head the ball into the empty net but the Egyptian put it over the bar.

Zulte-Waregem replied with a low pass to their forward who needed to bury the ball gently into the empty net but he sent it wide.

Near the end of the first half, Hassan got the ball in the right wing, he tried to dribble into the box and he was brought down by a defender. However, the referee said play on and the penalty kick wasn't given.

Hassan shone as playmaker twice near the end of the first half. The first when he dribbled into the left side of the box and laid the ball to Van den Berg but the latter couldn't get to the ball and the defense cleared the danger.

The 2nd fine pass from Hassan came from the right wing when he crossed the ball accurately to Bossoufa but the latter just fell into the offside trap.

Soon after this chance, rain started to fall heavily on the pitch which became like a lake. It was impossible for both teams to play on the pitch under this condition and so, the match was postponed.
