Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan participated with his new team Anderlecht in a couple of friendlies and tonight, he played the 3rd friendly match against the Greek champions Olympiakos.

The game ended in a 2-1 win for Hassan's side who helped in scoring the first goal.

The game was generally boring as any preseason match. Olympiakos managed to win a penalty kick early on after a hand ball from one of Anderlecht's defenders inside the box.

The penalty kick was taken and the Olympiakos player missed the target. However, the referee asked for the spot kick to be retaken and after a 2nd attempt, Olympiakos took the lead.

Anderlecht started to attack more after the goal and Hassan shined in the right flank with his passes and ability to penetrate the Greek defenses.

The Egyptian was involved in the build up of Anderlecht's equalizer when he sent a long diagonal pass to the left wing, a cross was made from the left wing to find Anderlecht's Moroccan striker who headed the ball home to make the score 1-1.

The 2nd half witnessed less chances than the first and gameplay was mostly in the midfield area. However, Anderlecht managed to win the game after a cross from the left wing which was met on the volley with a left footed strike that beat the goalkeeper and ended its path into the bottom corner to make the score 2-1 for Hassan's side.

More on Hassan and Anderlecht soon..
