Anderlecht's new Egyptian signing Ahmed Hassan told the Belgian press that he is very happy to sign with his new club.

"I chose Anderlecht to play in the Champions League," said Hassan.

"I had offers from Bolton Wanderers, Glasgow Rangers and Blackburn Rovers," he added.

"I know Anderlecht as a good team which can dominate the Belgian league.

"I only know Serhat Akin and Vincent Kompany from the team but I will not have an adaptation problem in the future after I am introduced to all my team-mates."

The Egyptian star has a signing ceremony today with the press and will put pen to paper on a 2+1 year contract.

Belgium and Turkey will clash tonight in an international match in Belgium, and Hassan may watch this match from the stands to see how his former and current league players do...
