Besiktas faced El Saka's Konya in an away encounter. An Own goal by Ibrahim Toraman put the homeside in the lead in the 21st minute and Besiktas couldn't get back into the game. Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played from the start and performed very well in the right flank. Despite this, Tigana replaced Hassan in the 2nd half in an odd decision. On the other side, El Saka participated for a few minutes as he is recovering gradually from injury.

Cup and league challengers Besiktas lost to Konya at home. Ahmed Hassan and his teammates were not effective throughout the ninety minutes and couldnt find a goal agaist the defensive minded Konya team. Abdelzaher El Saka had slight injury and played in the last minutes in order to add strength to his team's defence. In the end, Konya succeeded to return home with three points with an own goal by Ibrahim Toraman.

Ahmed Hassan played as an right attacking midfielder to support Bobo and Gokhan Gulec in the first half. Tigana changed him with Ahmet Dursun in the 2nd half in a hope that Besiktas score the equalizer. On the other hand, Abdelzaher El Saka played as a defensive midfielder in front of the two center defenders.

Bebbe tried to bury the ball past the goalkeeper but Ibrahim Toraman cleared it off the line. The ball bounced off Okan Yilmaz and fell to Konya striker who shot it again at goal but but Cordoba got a hand to it and it fell to .Toraman who wanted to control the ball but he hit it into his own net. 0-1

25th minute, Murat (Konya) stole the ball from Koray and passed the ball to Okan Yilmaz. The Konya striker lost his balance and blasted his shot wide.
