HIGHLIGHTS
4th minute, Mehmet Topuz (Kayseri) tried a strong shot from
long distance but he missed the target..
7th minute, Ali Tandogan (Besiktas) advanced with the ball
in right wing and cut inside. Bobo jumped high and headed
the ball home to score the first goal in the match. 0-1
9th minute, Gokhan received a pass in Besiktas penalty area.
The Kayseri striker shot was stopped by Cordoba though.
11th minute, Cordoba saved a strike from Mehmet Topuz after
two attempts.
23th minute, Cagdas’ powerful shot from a freekick was
saved in style by the Kayseri keeper Ivankov.
30th minute, Gokhan Gulec (Besiktas) made a great solo run
from midfield area. He chipped the ball over the keeper but
the ball went just wide.
33th minute, Gokhan Gulec couldnt bury the ball home after
a great cross by Ahmed Hassan and missed a clear goalscoring
oppertunity.
36th minute, Mehmet Topuz tried a long range strike again.
Cordoba saved the goal. He turned the ball away for a corner.
55th minute, Kayseri’s Bolukbasi crossed to Gokhan Unal.
The latter headed the ball at goal but his header missed the
target by inches.
69th minute, Bobo '(Besiktas) met the ball in a dangerous
position after a pass from Koray, his shot went wide though.
72th minute, Mehmet Topuz’ strike was saved by by Besiktas'
goalkeeper Cordoba.
85th minute, Kayseri's Gokhan Unal shot the ball from outside
the area and it went just over the crossbar.
90th minute, The ball came to reached Rodic (Kayseri) after
a pass from Johnson into the crowdded penalty area. It was
a bad mistake from Besiktas defense but Rodic ciouldn't take
advantage from the chance and he missed the target.
It should be noted that both sides will clash again tonight
in the 2nd leg of the Turkish cup. Besiktas will enter the
match with two goals advantage as the first leg ended in a
2-0 win for Ahmed Hassan's side who appear to be closer to
advance further in Cup.
