Besiktas won their second match of the Fortis Turkish
Cup beating Super League side Samsunspor 3-0 at home
with goals from Ibrahim Akin and super Sergen.

Hassan was also absent because of the African Cup in
Egypt.
Ahmed Hassan's team is not good enough this year for
the Super League title and are challenging for third
place. The Turkish Cup is also one of the targets in
order to join next year's UEFA competitions. The Cup
is very important for the European aims of Ahmed Hassan
and his team-mates.
Besiktas won the Samsun clash by three goals and substitute
Sergen showed his talents again with a goal and an assist.
The Colombian keeper Cordoba was injured and his medical
status will be clear tomorrow.

One More Signing:
Besiktas have almost found a new foreigner after selling Ailton,
Youla and Pancu. The young starlet of the Brazilian champions,
Bobo, who is a Brazil under-20, is expected to come to Istanbul
today. Bobo can play as a left winger and at the front, and
the deal was completed with huge help from ex-Besiktas player
Zago. Besiktas will purchase the player at the end of the
season if Tigana shows his potential in the league matches.
Hertha Berlin's 18-year-old Aydin Karabulut also joined the
team. His transfer is expected to be finalised this week.
The team continues to be younger and fresher day by day and
Tigana will decide Ahmed Hassan and Cordoba's positions at
the end of the season with some of the older Turkish players.
