Ahmed Hassan's Besiktas lost to Trabzonspor at home
by a single goal. The team continued the bad form of
recent matches, giving indications of possible squad
changes to come. Some players such as Youla, Adem Dursun,
Ibrahim Uzulmez and Cagdas were on the end of protest
during the match because of their poor football.

Pancu. Ahmed Hassan is unhappy about the situation of
his team and this affects his football. The Egyptian
player is searching for his old form this season. On
the other hand he is still the most effective foreigner
of the season. Kleberson is the other good foreigner
of the team but he hasn't carried the team with performances
seen in the 2002 World Cup. But the other foreigners
have not helped the team. Pancu is very bad, and cannot
even join the starting eleven. Cordoba is finding it
difficult to concentrate on his football. Ailton is
suspended again and the ex-topscorer of the Bundesliga
could only net twice this season. Youla is also in as
bad form as Ailton and tends to miss many goalscoring
opportunities.
It is expected that Jean Tigana will make some important
changes in the team with the break of the season. The
Trabzon defeat will fire this operation now. Besiktas
may sign some players from France and Turkey. On the
other hand some agents have offered the ex-students
of Tigana, Louis Saha and Djibril Cisse. The two French
strikers may wish to see more action than they currently
do in the Premier League. But no-one knows how Besiktas'
board will get through their financial conditions and
make transfer budgets available.
