Yildirim Demiroren, chairman of Besiktas JK, has changed
his mind over leaving the club, going against what was
previously expected.

The president of Besiktas was set to resign after announcing
that he would a few days ago. However, after the recently
poor run, he has vowed to take Besiktas out of their
troubles before calling it a day.
Demiroren declared today that he will remain chairman
until January 2007, and added, "I'll fight against
the club problems and will work to clear Besiktas of
its bad situation."

Meanwhile, the Istanbul ouftit's loyal supporters are split
over the issue, with around half supporting the controversial
chairman, and the rest protesting for his departure.
