The chairman of Ahmed Hassan's side Besiktas Yildirim
Demiroren announced that he will resign from his position
after the poor situation of the club and the financial
problems.
Demiroren was elected as the new
Besiktas chairman in May 2004. He won the elections
and promised to help Besiktas get back to trophies.
He started by appointing
Del Bosque as manager but the team couldn't get
back to their form under the EX-Real Madrid manager.
Due to this, Demiroren brought
Riza Calimbay to coach Besiktas but the problems
within the Istanbul based club remained and it was clear
that it requires more than a simple change of managers.
Because of all these problems, Yildirim Demiroren stated
that he will leave club after the unsuccesful period.
