Ayman Abdelaziz's Genclerbirligi and Ahmed Hassan's
Besiktas clashed in the third week of the Turkcell Super
League. Besiktas won the match by two goals via Ailton
and Tumer. Gencler continued to lose points.
The new Besiktas strike-force did well...
It seems that Besiktas found their comfortable
team this season. The last match's eleven were on the
pitch again and the Eagles finished the game with the
same score. Genclerbirligi and Besiktas completed the
match with good football and gave their supporters an
exciting match.
Ahmed Hassan and Ayman were close in the match again.
They were friends before the match but after the whistle,
they lived a war in their football. Ahmed Hassan was
fouled lots of times by Ayman, as Hassan always takes
harsh fouls from other Egyptians as usual. Ayman was
booked with a yellow after a foul on Hassan. Beshir
and El Saka were also similar against Hassan in last
season's matches.
Ailton protested to his manager after Calimbay changed
him for Tumer. The Brazilian striker apologised to his
manager after the match and said he wanted to play more
to score again. Calimbay said he is the scorer of the
team but he is not fit enough for ninety minutes. Calimbay
also took Ahmed Hassan off in last five minutes with
the claps of the supporters.

Match Highlights:
10th minute, Ugur Boral crossed the ball inside to
Erhan. Erhan headed it from short distance but the ball
went over the bar. He could have done better.
20th minute, Mehmet Cakir stole the ball from Besiktas'
defence. He was alone and tried to lob the ball over
Cordoba but the Colombian keeper was successful in the
chance and handled it.
26th minute, Isaac Promise sent the ball forward from
the right. The ball hit Besiktas players but came to
Sedat Yesilkaya. Sedat struck a very good shot. Cordoba
was again the hero as he punched the great strike.
38th minute, Ali Gunes sent a free-kick into the box.
Gokhan Zan passed a header. Youla was there and headed
at goal but the keeper saved it.
Half time, Besiktas controlled the ball more but Genclerbirligi
found some dangerous opportunities. 0-0.
51st minute, With the defensive error of Ibrahim Toraman,
Mehmet Cakir stole the ball and ran forward to score.
His strike was poor and went out.
