28
year old striker Mohamed Zidan joined the Egyptian national
team squad this morning to put an end to rumours that
circulated lately and claimed that the player might
prefer to stay in Germany.
Mohamed Zidan finally joined the rest
of his teammates in the Egyptian national team. The
late arrival of the player resulted in doubts over his
intention to help his country and some sources claimed
that the player will prefer to stay in Germany rather
than helping his country in the Cup of Nations in Angola.
In fact, playing in the Cup of Nations
could have been a problem for Zidan if he was a player
in the Premier League in England as the league continues
in January. But the Bundesliga already stopped because
of the winter break and so, there is no difficulty for
Zidan to play for his country at this time.
Zidan have a history of missing National team matches and
tournaments as he missed the Cup of Nations in 2006 and a
friendly match versus Guinea during the time of World Cup
qualifications. This might have helped the rumours to spread.
Fortunately, Zidan arrived today to put an end
to these rumours...
