As
EP reported earlier, Zidan managed to recover from his
injury and was fit enough to start for Dortmund today
in their home clash with Freiburg. Dortmund managed
to win the match by a single goal which came via the
on-fire Argentinean striker Barrios. Zidan did well
overall despite not scoring.
Mohamed Zidan recovered quickly from the
injury that he suffered in the away clash with Wolfsburg
last week. He started for Dortmund today in their home
encounter with Freiburg and played the full 90 minutes.
Zizou was taken off in stoppage time though and was
cheered by the fans.
Despite playing on a frosty pitch due
to the cold weather at this time in Dortmund, Zidan
looked energetic and didn't lose his magic.
The Egyptian has been in a great form
lately and today's match was no exception as Dortmund
won their 3rd match in a row. Such victory will put
the club in the 4th or 5th spot before the winter break.
The season didn't start well for Dortmund but once Klopp discovered
that the combination between Zidan and Barrios at front is
the best, results started to improve greatly.
The only goal of the game came through the on-form
Argentine Barrios who gave his side the lead after 19 minutes
from the kick off.
