Following Egypt's exit at the hands of
Algeria after Sudan's play-off, striker Mohamed Zidan
blasted Bundesliga's defender Antar Yehia after the
latter insulted his mother during the match. However,
Egyptian Zidan didn't lose his temper as his French/Algerian
counterpart Zidane who headbutted Italy's defender Materazzi
following verbal taunts from the Italian player.

Egyptian striker Zidan blasted Algerian players for
their unsporting behaviour in the play off match in
Sudan. The 27 year old forward claimed that the Algerians
intended to terrorize Egyptian players on and off the
field.
"They intended to harm us with agressive
play. They wanted to win by any mean" Zidan said.
"Their defender Antar Yehia plays
in the Bundesliga and I know him well. He said a very
bad insult to my mother in German language. I didn't
want to get into side fights though and lose my concentration
in the game".
It should be noted that the French Zidane
headbutted Italy's defender Materazzi in World Cup final
in 2006 resulting in him getting sent off following
the incident.
Zidan continued to blast the Algerian terrorism by revealing
that both of him and Hadary received murder threats through
SMS and calls.
"I received many SMS messages on my mobile
and phone calls from fanatic Algerian supporters threatning
me and El Hadary to be murdered".
