Dortmund striker won the Man of the Match award following his impressive display on Sunday afternoon in the home clash between Dortmund and Bochum.

While he didn't appear on the score sheet, Zidan was the source of all dangerous attacks for Dortmund. He moved everywhere on the field, and even contributed in defense. Zidan looked like a different player in the eyes of Dortmund fans.

The Egyptian wasn't troubled by Algerian international centre back Antar Yehia as his silky movements and passes caused Yehia's side all sorts of problems throughout the 68 minutes he played.

Speaking to Ruhr nachrichten, Zidan said:

"It was a surprise for me to know that I was selected as the Man of the Match. 25.000 supporters shouted my name when it appeared on the score board as the Man of Match. It made my spine tingles".

"I am delighted with the win, and I am more delighted with the treatment of the Dortmund fans". He added.

Speaking on the upcoming match versus Algeria in World Cup quals, Zidan said:

"It is a dream for every player to be at World Cup. I want to help Egypt qualify and I can't wait to play in this match".

The newspaper also added that Zidan is starting to be a fan favorite after his impressive displays this season.
