Mohamed Zidan is expected to be given a secondary role
with Dortmund as a midfielder. Jurgen Klopp admits that
he is in shortage of a creative midfielder and will
give Zidanthis role in the coming games.
Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan will be
play out of his position in the upcoming match versus
Bochum this weekend. This is due to the lack of creative
midfielders as Tinga, Hajnal and Kehl are all out of
action due to various injuries.
Zidan expressed that he doesn't mind playing
as a support man: "I don't care where I will play
on the field. As long as I am in the starting line-up,
I am happy".
The 27 year old played a similar role
in Dortmund's latest two friendlies during the international
break. He managed to assist four goals for Barrios in
one match by playing as a support man.
It should be noted that the match versus Bochum on Sunday
will feature an Egyptian-Algerian challenge as Zidan will
play against Bochum's Algerian international Antar Yehia.
Aside from this news, Zidan is expected to be
called up to Egypt squad which will face Algeria in a decisive
World Cup qualifying encounter in which the Pharaohs must
win by three goals margin to reach World Cup finals in South
Africa next year.
