Dortmund for the first time this season. He managed
to score his first season goal as well after wasting
a couple of one on one chances.
Dortmund faced Frankfurt away from home.
They didn't have many chances as Frankfurt looked more
organized and more dangerous especially through Amanatidis
who was a real threat in front of goal.
Dortmund had a couple of real chances
in the first half though. Both were for the Egyptian
striker Zidan. The first came via a through pass to
Zidan, he tried to shoot from naroow angle and hit the
side netting.
The second chance came from a pure individual
effort by Zizou who showed good anticipation skills
to intercept a pass from Frankfurt's last man, Zidan
advanced on the keeper and tried to bury the ball past
him into the back of the net but the goalkeeper got
a touch to it and turned it behind for a corner.
In the 2nd half, Frankfut got closer to score the lead but
they were unlucky with their finishing. On the other side,
Dortmund didn't look like they are going to win the game but
Zidan managed to give them the lead against the run of play.
