Zidan's Dortmund continued their preseason preparations.
They spent eight days in a training camp. Today will
be an off day but the team will be back to trajining
on Saturday. They will play a number of friendly matches
before the kick off of the new season including a friendly
tournament in which they will face Valencia and Udinese.
Mohamed Zidan had claimed interest from
Valencia in signing him after the Confederations cup.
On the 25th of this month, a friendly tournament named
the Blitz cup will kick off which features Udinese from
Italy and Valencia from Spain plus Dortmund.
Such tournament will give Zidan a chance
to impress Valencia officials as the Spanish giant will
clash head to head with Dortmund in this friendly tournament.
If Zizou's claims about Valencia interest are true,
it would be expected that Valencia officials have a
closer look at the Egyptian in this tournament.
It should be noted that Dortmund already
kicked off preseason preparations without Zidan who
took a few more days of rest after the World Cup qualifying
match versus Rwanda.
In the first phase of preseason training,
Dortmund spent eight days in preseason training at Donaueschingen.
They returned back today to have Friday off. Tomorrow,
preseason training will continue for 48 hours till they
face Paderborn in a friendly.
On the 25th of July, the Blitz tournament
will kick off and Dortmund will play against Valencia
& Udinese.
On the 28th of this month, Gamal Hamza and Zidan will face
each other in another friendly which is considered as the
last test before the kick off of the new season.
It should be mentioned that Zidan's BVB will
kick off the new season on the first of August by playing
in the first round of the DFB Pokal (German cup). A week later,
Bundesliga season will kick off with BVB facing Cologne away
from hiome.
