Three first-class strikers

The official webste of Borussia Dortmund published a report which included some interesting quotations for the man of the moment Mohamed Zidan.

According to the website, Dortmund have three first class strikers, Valdez, Frei and Zidan but what makes the latter special is his important goals.

"It´s nice to get a chance. But you also have to take it," said the Egyptian, who had scored his last goal in the derby.

"I was lurking for the second ball and first wanted to shoot straight away, but I was unsure. Then I tried to hold the ball, I turned and fired a left-foot shot," described Zidan his goal in the 79th minute which put Borussia Dortmund on the road to victory. "It´s always nice to come on and score an important goal."

Zidan also added that he doesn't mind sitting on bench as he sees Valdez and Frei are doing great job when they start together. He also added that he is happy in Dortmund.

"Alex and Nelson are doing a great job. Why should the coach make any changes?"

"It was an important goal for me, for the team and for the club. This is my job. I have settled well in Dortmund and I´m happy here."

"We were solid and didn´t make many mistakes," said Zidan. "If you pick up three points, it doesn´t matter how many goals you score."

Speaking about the so many travelling fans that accompanied the team in their trip to Frankfurt, he said:

"I´ve never experienced anything like this at another club. It´s fantastic to see how many fans support us on our travels," "It´s just great and so important to the team."

On chances of wiining a spot in UEFA cup, Zizou added:

"If we keep our feet on the ground and stay relaxed, a lot is possible," said the striker and asked: "Why shouldn´t we be able to win seven, eight or nine games in a row? We now have a very important game against Karlsruhe. And three days later we have another game. And four days later another. The game on Saturday will be a really tough one: Karlsruhe fight against relegation - and we fight for a place in Europe."

"It´s nice that we moved up one place in the table. But it´s probably even nicer to know that Schalke are trailing us now. We know how important that is for our fans..."

More on Zidan soon...
