Mohamed Zidan played the role of the savior
for Dortmund once again as he came on to replace Frei
in the 74th minute. He made the difference in the away
game as he managed to score with only ten minutes left
to give Dortmund the lead in the game. Minutes later,
Dortmund doubled their lead from an own goal to end
the match in the 0-2 away win.
Dortmund achieved their 6th win in a row
in the Bundesliga. This time, credit goes to Mohamed
Zidan who came on to make a real impact by creating
a great chance to Valdez and scoring a crucial goal
a few minutes later which won the game for Dortmund.
Dortmund played this afternoon away from
home against the 12th team in the table, Frankfurt.
Frei and Valdez started the game as usual while Zidan
came on from the bench to replace Frei in the last 15
minutes.
While Dortmund looked in a better shape,
they failed to score in the first half and couldn't
break the deadlock in the 2nd half either until the
moment Zidan replaced Frei.
Egyptian star Zidan made an immediate
positive impact as he received a low pass down the left
flank, Zizou managed to take the ball past his marker
and squeezed a cross to Valdez who headed it at goal
but the goalkeeper managed to save it and turned the
ball way for a corner.
In the 80th minute, Owomoyela got the ball inside
the box, he crossed low into the direction oh Hajnal but the
ball bounced off a defender and fell to Zidan who was inside
and buried it home after a clever feint to give Dortmund the
previous lead.
Four minutes later, Dortmund doubled their lead
through an own goal which came via Habib Bellaid who slotted
the ball into his own net after a low cross by Hajnal in front
of goal.
With this win, Dortmund remained 6th with 52
points and they will have a big chance to qualify to UEFA
cup if their good form continued.
