his injury and started for Dortmund alongside Valdez
in the away clash with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

Mohamed Zidan played well for Dortmund
as he provided a key pass which led to their equalizer
which came through his teammate striker Nelson Valdez
in the 52nd minute. However, the Egyptian efforts couldn't
help Dortmund salvage anything from the game as they
conceded anther goal in the 62nd minute and the game
ended in a 2-1 loss.
Zidan started the game alongside the Paraguayan
forward Valdez. Things didn't start well for Dortmund
though as they conceded an early goal which came through
Elson in the 10th minute.
In the 2nd half, Dortmund continued their
struggle to find the equalizer which came in the 52nd
minute through Valdez. Zidan started the attacking move
from the right wing as he crossed the ball high into
Tinga at the far post, the latter laid it to Hajnal
who fired it low to strike a defender and bounce to
Valdez who met it directly with his right and scored.
Ten minutes later, Gomez recalimed Stuttgart's lead and the
score remained 2-1 untill the final whistle.
It should be noted that both Zidan and Valdez
were replaced after the goal but their replacements couldn't
score.
