Mohamed
Zidan scored a great volley goal for Dortmund to give
his side the lead in their home clash with Gladbach.
Zizou who just turned 27 controlled the ball on his
chest and rifled a great volley from the edge of the
box into the back of the net to make the score 1-0 for
Dortmund.
Right after the goal, Zizou's teammate
Hajnal was sent off after receiving a second yellow
card. Despite this, Dortmund were able to extend their
lead in the 2nd half through Nuri Shahin.
The 2nd goal also came through a fine
pass from Zidan to Kuba who found Shahin inside the
box with a low pass and the latter made no mistake and
buried the ball into the bottom corner.
Ten minutes before the final whistle,
the substitute Van Den Bergh scored from a scorcher
with his left that went straight into the top corner
to make the final score 2-1.
With this score, Dortmund ended the first
half of season in the 6th spot in the table while Gladbach
remained rock bottom. It should be noted that the winter
break will start in Germany after this week end matches
and will last till end of January.
