Mohamed Zidan started the away clash with
Arminia Bielefeld which ended in a goal less draw. After
a boring first half, Zidan was replaced early on in
the 2nd half.
Zidan played from the start alongside
Frei in attack in Dortmund's away match versus Bielefield.
The Egyptian was taken off during half time and was
replaced by Kuba.
Recent reports revealed that Swiss striker
Alexander Frei is far from happy at Dortmund as Jurgen
Klopp is playing him out of position as support man
while he prefers Zidan to be the lone striker. The Swiss
striker is frustrated with this and expressed his desire
publicly to leave Dortmund in January.
This put alot of pressure on Klopp to keep Frei happy and
play him more in this month in order to keep him at the squad
at least till summer. However, this also means that Zidan
will get less playing time in order to allow Kuba more play
time.
For this reason,. Zidan had to came off in the
2nd half instead of Frei. Despite this, the Swiss striker
wasn't able to help his side win the game and the score remained
0-0 till the final whistle.
