Zidan still in need of rest following his injury in
UEFA cup clash with Udinese
The injury of Mohamed Zidan in the UEFA cup first leg
match versus Udinese is preventing the Egyptian forward
from participating with Dortmund in matches. The Egyptian
is still in need of more time to recover from the rupture
of his abdominal muscles.
Due to injury, Zidan missed the UEFA cup 2nd leg encounter
and the home match versus Hannover as well. In addition
to this, he didn't participate in the friendly match
between Dortmund and Austria Vienna which was played
on Friday night.
The game ended in a 3-3 draw. Klimowicz scored in the
13th minute to give Dortmund the lead. However, The
Asutrian side leveled the score in the 19th minute through
Bazina.
In the 2nd half, Bazina added another goal for the
home side to make the score 2-1 and Topic made it 3-1
for Vienna just five minutes later.
The game aklmost ended in a win for Austria Vienna but Öztekin
managed to make the score 3-2 as he scored in the 81st minute
and his teammate Sadrijaj leveled the score five minutes before
the final whistle.
It should be noted that Dortmund's next official match will
be played on the 18th of October as they face the former club
of Zidan Werder Bremen in an away encounter.
