Zidan scored his first goal in Dortmund shirt as they won against Hessen Kassel by three goals to one. Zidan played the full match alongside Alexander Frei who returned from injury and looked in lethal form despite his long term injury as he scored the first two goals while Zizou added the 3rd in the 86th minute.

Dortmund missed all their international players in that match since internationals are playing for their countries. Frei still not fully fit and so he wasn't called for Switzerland squad while Zidan is still banned from representing Egypt and so, both featured in tonight's game.

It is always important to score even in friendly matches as this will help Zidan settle more at his new club.

Hessen Kassel - Borussia Dortmund 1:3 (1:1)

BVB: Ziegler - Lee, Santana, Subotic (46. Hünemeier), Schmelzer - Federico (68. Sadrijaj), Tinga (75. Kandziora), Kringe, Buckley (46. Gordon) - Zidan, Frei. Zuschauer: 8.000. Tore: 0:1 Frei (42.), 1:1 (45.), 1:2 Frei (53.), 1:3 Zidan (86.)

It is worth mentioning that the draw for the next round in DFB Pokal has been made and Dortmund will face Hertha BSC in a tough encounter.

It should also be noted that this friendly will be the last for BVB before they return back to Bundesliga action on the 13th this month.

More on Zidan soon.
