Mohamed Zidan's HSV won in DFB Pokal (German
cup) over Ingolstadt by three goals to one. The first
half ended in a 1-0 lead for the homeside but Hamburg
managed to equalize and take the lead through Olic.
The third goal came through Guerrero to end the match
in a 1-3 win. Zidan played only for five minutes and
was boked a minute before the final whistle.
Today, Hambuger SV made it through the second round
of the German DFB-Pokal against the 2nd division side
Ingolstadt by 3 goals to one.
Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan remained on bench until
he came in at the 85th minute to have only 5 minutes
of action as HSV managed to extend their lead at the
dying moments.
In presence of 11,700 spectators at Tuja-Stadion, the
underdogs Ingolstadt had a better first half as they
managed to start scoring on the 33rd minute to end the
first half leading the north-men 1:0.
From the beginning of the second half HSV improved
a lot, they needed only 6 minute until Olic scored a
double on the 51st and 53rd minutes to give HSV the
lead and a sigh of relief.
Zidan came in the 85th to replace the Burkina-Faso midfielder
Pitroipa. Zidan had only 5 minutes of play, so that he couldn't
offer much and he even received a yellow card .
In the 90th minute, Guerrero managed to score the 3rd goal
for HSV to lead them to the DFB-Pokal third round.
