Mohamed Zidan refused to comment on Ittehad
loan offer. The Egyptian will return to HSV to start
preseason preparations as usual. Sport boss Dietmar
Beiersdorfer gave the Egyptian a vote of confidence
and said that under the new manager Martin Jol, Zidan
abilities will hopefully be used to full potential.
Stevens didn't give Zidan a fair chance
to show off his ability
Both Egyptian striker Zidan and HSV's
sport boss Dietmar Beiersdorfer played down the Egyptian's
transfer talks.
Beiersdorfer said:" I heard about
Ittehad Jedda's offer to loan Zidan from the press and
so, I can't comment on this offer".
"Zidan is an HSV player for three
more seasons, he is a good player but he couldn't shine
in the first season".
"We have seen many cases before of
players who have a bad season. Hopefully, with the new
tactics of Martin Jol, Zidan's abilities will be used
to full potential".
"Martin Jol watched Zidan in action
in the African Cup of Nations and he believes that he
is a good player. He is willing to give him a chance
like everybody else".
"Zidan will arrive here on Friday and should
do well in the preseason in order to be fully fit for the
upcoming season".
The Egyptian also was quoted saying: "I
can't comment on the Saudi offer as of yet. I am in a vacation
now and will be back after three days to Germany, we will
wait and see what is going to happen in the next few days".
