It seems that Mohamed Zidan's days at
HSV are counted. The club chairman Bernd Hoffmann announced
that the club is willing to let some players go in order
to strengthen the squad with new players. Among the
players who are expected to be sold Mohamed Zidan and
Cameroonian left back Atouba.
Hamburger SV chairman Bernd Hoffmann is
willing to listen to offers for Zidan and Atouba. The
club president claims that both players didn't benefit
the club as they should and HSV could offload them in
order to strengthen the squad with new players.
The president revealed that the new coach
Martin Jol is looking to buy new players and on order
to make cash available, the club will have to get rid
of some underperforming players.
It should be mentioned that Zidan is already
a target for Spanish La Liga side Betis who showed interest
in the player after the African club.
It is also worth noting that Zidan didn't
feature in the past four matches for HSV. The Egyptian
was suffering from intestinal infection but despite
his recovery, he didn't make it to the match squad in
the past two games.
Zidan will spend the next month with the national team who
will start preparations for Wold Cup qualifying matches soon.
