Zidan played a full match against Hertha BSC. The game ended in a boring 0-0 draw. HSV controlled the most of gameplay and had a golden chance to win as Demel was awarded a penalty kick in the 2nd half but Olic missed the target from spot and squandered the big chance. Zidan played an OK game and provided a great key pass to Ben Hatira in the first half.

Zidan started for the first time in a row for HSV. This time he played a full match against Hertha BSC. HSV had some key players missing like Atouba, Van der Vaart and Kompany while Olic returned to action after recovering from injury.

Olic and Zidan played from the start while Guerrero started the game on bench and came on to replace Olic in the 2nd half.

The game started with pressure from HSV and Zidan blasted a shot over the bar from inside the box in the 2nd minute. A minute later, Olic took advantage of a bad back pass and advanced on keeper but his shot from narrow angle hit the side netting.

The match was generally boring and passing has been too poor from both sides. Zidan had no clear role on the field and sometimes he appeared on the left wing but later he moved to the right.

Zidan wasn't in the centre of attention from HSV players, he rarely got the ball but when he got it, he always did well. The best moment for Zidan in the game was his great pass to Ben Hatira (who replaced the injured Sorin) in the 34th minute. Zidan sent a great first time pass to Ben Hatira who should have scored but he put the ball into the body of the goalkeeper.

In the 2nd half, Hertha BSC looked dangerous in the opening minutes, but they failed to convert. On the other side, HSV had had more possession but failed to create chances.

The best chance for HSV came from a penalty kick which was awarded after a foul on Ivorian Guy Demel who made an excellent run and was brought down inside the box. The penalty kick was taken by Olic but he sent it wide and squandered the golden chance.

Immediately after missing from the spot, the coach Huub Stevens decided to replace Olic with Guerrero but the latter didn't add much to HSV attack and the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

The draw kept HSV 4th in the table and widened the gap between them and Bayern Munich to 10 points.
