Mohamed Zidan didn't see action against
Wolfsburg as he started the game on bench and his coach
used all his three substitutions but he never thought
of bringing the talented Egyptian on.
Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan didn't pay
for another week. The annoying yet expected situation
continued on Saturday as HSV faced Wolfsburg in an away
encounter.
The match was important for HSV to revenge
from their exit from the German cup at the hand of Wolfsburg.
Also, a win would mean that HSV will remain competing
for the Bundesliga title.
Hamburg scored first in the 14th minute
through the defender Reinhardt who headed the ball home
after a corner kick from the left wing.
HSV managed to stay in the lead till the
52nd minute when Ljuboja equalized from a deflected
shot.
After the goal, Stevens brought Olic on
to replace Trochowski who wasn't too happy with his
substitution and headed directly to the dressing room.
The coach also brought Kompany on in place
of Jarolim and the manager already replaced the injured
Benjamin with Aouba so Zidan remained on bench.
In the 80th minute, Wolfsburg's player Madlung
received a second yellow card and the homeside had to continue
the game with 10 men. However, HSV couldn't take advantage
and a few minutes later, Kompany was shown a couple of yellow
cards too and both sides became a man down.
In the 90th minute, both Grafite and HSV's defender
Mathijsen were shown two red cards for a harsh challenge and
both sides became down to nine men!.
With this draw, Bayern Munich remained on top
with seven points away from HSV who remained in the 2nd spot.
