Hamburger SV coach Hub Stevens criticized
Egyptian striker Zidan after the training on Saturday.
Meanwhile, some Spanish clubs revealed their interest
in capturing the Egyptian forward.
Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan didn't play
on Sunday as HSV drew with Nuremberg. The Egyptian was
suffering from a muscle strain which prevented him from
traveling to play the away encounter last weekend.
Zidan picked up the injury while he was
doing shooting training on Saturday. The Dutch coach
was angry with Zidan and criticized him:
"When I say shoot carefully but he
doesn't listen, I describe this as unprofessional behaviour".
Stevens said.
Zidan was astonished after hearing Stevens
words, he said:
"I don't feel bad about it, I didn't
mean to injure myself and I hope I will be able to play
next Saturday".
It should be noted that despite Zidan's superb form in the
ACN, Stevens still not giving him the chance to start and
announced that Zizou's form in ACN doesn't mean anything to
him unless he plays at the same level for Hamburg.
It is also worth noting that the Dutch manager's
days at HSV are counted as he will return to his home country
to work at PSV Eindhoven.
With a new manager, Zidan should get more chance
to play next season at HSV. However, the Egyptian might leave
to Spain as an alternative option as more than a couple of
Spanish clubs claimed interest in the Egyptian. Amongst these
clubs, Real Zaragoza and Real Betis.
