We are just a few days far from the transfer window. Many troubled Egyptians are eagerly awaiting January to find a better chance.

The first half this season was the worst for almost all Egyptian players abroad. Many players couldn't get a fair chance with thier teams either due to injury, competition for places, problems with club management or other reasons.

The 2nd half of the season shouldn't be any worse as the upcoming transfer window could offer the solution for many of our players abroad.

1- Mohamed Zidan:

Zidan is back to square one. Same situation as Werder Bremen. He barely plays and can't be considered part of the club success in the Bundesliga or UEFA cup so far. The HSV formation and tactics are not the best for Zidan style of play. The Egyptian doesn't want to leave but in the same regard, he does want to play more.

Zidan might consider his options in the transfer window, especially with a couple of Bundesliga clubs showing interest in him, particularly Hannover and Duisborg who want to loan the Egyptian till end of season. HSV might let Zidan go and Zizou might see this as a chance to repeat his achievement with Mainz last season in which he scored 13 goals in 15 games and ended the season as 5th in Bundesliga topscorers.

2- Hossam Ghaly:

Ghaly is forgotten. He is not expected to return to Spurs in the 2nd half of season and he will have to find a new club either in England or in other European county. The Egyptian will hopefully impress in the ACN an this will hopefully grant him a chance to return to the Premiership.

So far, no major clubs showed interest in the Egyptian and the is linked with a move to one of the Premiership bottom clubs like Wigan or Derby.

3- El Saka:

Another troubled Egyptian. Konyaspor terminated the Egyptians' contract and he will have to find a new club in January. He revealed that Genclerbirligi will be his distination but the club new coach announced that he is not interested in El Saka so the Egyptian centre back might have to look for another option.

4- Ibrahim Said:

He mutually terminated his contract with his club and will not likely return to Europe. Most likely he will move to Tunisia or hopefully, he will appear in a good form in the ACN which might get him a better offer.

5- Ahmed Abo Mosallam:

Another Egyptian eagerly awaiting January. Abo Mosallam never plays for Strasbourg either as a starter or even as sub. The Egyptians' place was taken by the experienced left back Dos Santos and he will have to find a new club in order to play. Some reports linked the player with a move to Le Mans but nothing is certain yet.

6- Sherif Ekramy:

Expected to move away from feyenoord especially with rumors that the veteran goalkeeper Timmer will renew his contract for two more years. Ekramy feels he should start and if the chance is little in feyenoord, he will have tio move elsewhere in order to play.

7- Mohamed Shawky:

Rumors linked him with a move away from Boro but the coach denied. Shawky is not expected to leave in January at all. However, he will have to impress in order to find a starting place due to the competition in midfield.

Not all Egyptians abroad are waiting the second half of season to move to other clubs, but the rest are waiting to return from injury like Mido or improve their league standings like Ahmed Hassan. In addition to this, Ayman Abdel Aziz will also look to improve his league standing with Trabzon as they ended in the 9th spot.

EP wish all Egyptians the best in the upcoming transfer window and will keep you up to date with all their transfer news and rumours...
