Zidan came on in the 73rd minute but he had little to do as HSV won against Litex Lovech in the UEFA cup 2nd leg by three goals to one. The guests scored first from their only attack on HSV while Zizou's side equalized through a an overhead kick by Guerrero who took Zidan's place in the starting line-up. The Peruvian Guerrero also added the 2nd goal in the 54th minute from a one on one situation with the keeper while Van der vaart scored the 3rd.

Zidan started on bench but came on late in the 2nd half

HSV had no problems beating Litex Lovech and advance to the UEFA cup group stage. However, Zidan still can't make it to the starting eleven as his teammate Guerrero is doing a better job as a target man than Zizou at the moment.

The Egyptian started the game on bench as usual and came on to replace Van der Vaart in the 74th minute. By the time Zizou came on, the score was already 3-1 and the victory was secured.

Zidan tried hard when he came on and it was obvious that the Egyptian is "hungry" to score and play but with the current form of Guerrero, the situation will unlikely change for Zidan.

Litex Lovech scored first to revive their hopes. Their goal came from one of the rare counter attacks that they managed to create. However, Guerrero replied immediately with a fine overhead kick to make the score 1-1.

HSV continued to control the game till the end of the first half. In the 2nd half, particularly in the 54th minute, Guerrero managed to steal the ball from Litex's last man, rounded the goalkeeper and scored to make the score 2-1. After the goal Stevens decided to rest the Peruvian and replaced him with Choupo-Moting.
