Zidan Starts As HSV Beat Juventus 1-0

Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan played from the start in HSV's friendly match agauinst the Italian giants, Juventus. The game almost ended in a 0-0 draw but a late goal by HSV granted them the win.

Italian giants Juventus faced Mohamed Zidan's HSV in a friendly at the Nord Bank Arena. Zizou started the match which ended in a 1-0 victory for HSV.

The score remained 0-0 till the 85th minute when the substitute forward Chopo-Mouting managed to score the winner for HSV to end the friendly in an impressive win for the Egyptian's side.


Zidan played the first half and came off in the 2nd, the Egyptian, van der Vaart, Nigel De Jong had great chances to score in the first half but they couldn't convert.

Zidan's chance came from a one on one situation with Juverntus' goalkeeper but the latter managed to saved Zizou's shot with his foot.


On the other side, Juventus put HSV under pressure in the opening minutes and had a couple fo chances for Del Piero and Antonio but the goalkeeper Rost dealt well with both chances.

During the break, HSV coach Hub Stevens made 8 substitutions and despite all these chances, HSV managed to win the game in the 85th minute through the talented forward Choupo-Mouting.
