Mohamed Zidan had revealed to EP on Tuesday that he has interest from nine European leagues, including the English Premier League. However, he is not in the position to name any clubs.

EgyptianPlayers.com has, however, learnt that there are two sides from England keen on making a move for Zidan, namely Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

Ligue 1's Marseille and Monaco were already named in reports, but EgyptianPlayers.com can also reveal that Paris Saint-Germain are inquiring about Zizou.

Should Fulham or Tottenham's interest make serious progress, the parties would have to lodge an appeal in order to attain a work permit for Zidan, who is yet to feature significantly for the Egyptian national team. An appeal would be possible as he is likely to play over 75% of Egypt's games in the coming months, but at present he does not meet the criteria which specifies this percentage of national team games over the last two years.

Both London clubs have Egyptian links at present. Fulham is owned by Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al Fayed, while Tottenham's squad currently holds two Egyptians in Hossam Ghaly and Mido. Fulham survived relegation this season while Spurs finished 5th for a second season running.

Paris SG are going through hard times, lying in 15th position in Ligue 1 with just a single game left this season. As far as the other interested clubs are concerned, Monaco are currently 13th while Marseille are guaranteed an impressive 2nd place finish.

It is worth noting that in November 2005, Zizou was being kept out of the Mainz line-up during his first spell, and English club Everton were apparently interested. At the time, Zidan admitted: "I would love to be in the English Premier League."

Prior to that, in May 2004, Zidan was set to leave FC Midtjylland but decided to carry on in Denmark till the January 2005 transfer window. At the time, EP revealed the clubs scouting the Egyptian, and they included the same two English clubs, Fulham and Tottenham.

The list of interested clubs at the time looks very similar to the current one. "Hamburg, Leverkusen, Schalke 04, Dortmund, Ajax, Celta Vigo, Bordeaux, Monaco, Tottenham and Fulham" (EP: 22/5/07). It is thought that perhaps all but two clubs on that list are currently following Zidan.

EP can provide a list of clubs currently chasing Zizou, though some of these are not yet confirmed and there are more: Fulham, Tottenham (England). Marseille, Monaco, Paris SG (France). Hamburg, Hannover, Hertha Berlin, Nurnberg, Stuttgart (Germany). Deportivo La Coruna, Osasuna (Spain). Besiktas, Galatasaray (Turkey).

Zidan had told EP that the sides after him come from a number of European leagues, namely "Germany, Spain, England, France, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Greece and Holland."

However, he also made it clear on number of occasions that he is extremely keen on staying in Germany next season.
