Despite the big win, Mainz will be relegated..

Mianz and Zidan finally won after many weeks of disappointing results. They defeated the already relegated Gladbach side but the 3-0 win won't help them avoid relegation as Wolfsburg achieved a late 2-2 draw with Aachen.

For Mainz and Zidan to avoid relegation , they have to defeat Bayern Munich at their home turf and by a huge goal difference and still, Wolfsburg will have to lose their next game too.

As this sounds impossible, Mainz will be relegated to Bundesliga 2 alongside Aachen and Gladbach and the Egyptian Zizou will likely be transferred to another Bundesliga 1 club.

Zidan played the game from start alongside Ruman in attack. The Egyptian had a decent goal despite the fact that he couldn't score from open play and his goal came from a penalty kick.

Zizou had some frustrating momnts in the game as he couldn't beat his man in more than one occasion. However, he shone as a team player as he was involved in all the three goals. He created the pass that resulted in the penalty kick for the first goal and the 2nd goal as well while he assisted the 3rd after a superb solo riun and through pass in the end.

Mainz first goal came in the 32nd minute when Zidan passed the ball on the floor to Soto inside the box, the latter was brought down inside the area and Zidan scored from the spot to give his side the lead.

The 2nd goal came in the last minute of the first half when Zidan controlled the ball superbly outside the box and passed it to the onside Soto who hit the crossbar, the ball bounced back to play to find Ruman who headed it home to make the score 2-0.

In the 2nd half, Mainz were content to play in ther own half most of the time while their guests started to attempt getting back into the game.

In the 72nd minute, Zidan used his skills well as he outplayed the Gladbach defense and sent a through pass to Fuelner who faced the keeper and scored the 3rd to confirm Mainz win.

In the 84th minute, Klopp decided to rest Zidan so he took him off and replaced him with Gerber. The Egyptian was cheered by all the fans in the stadium who drew his face on a huge piece of cloth.

After the match, Zidan went to fans and the whole stadoium continued cheering for him for all his efforts and goals this season. The faithful fans were in tears atter the final whistle as they realized that this match will be the last homa match for Mainz in Bundesliga 1.
