Mohamed Zidan couldn't save his team in their home
defeat against Farum. His side took the lead early on
via Youssouf, but were unable to score again, and conceded
two goals to Farum's Andreason. AB are safe from relegation
though, but any ambitious hopes of a UEFA Cup place
are now beyond reach.
Pre-game:
Squad: Yesterday, the eighteen man squad was
named for AB and it consisted of: Jan Hoffmann, Christian
Karlsson, Morten Seifert, Jesper Falck, Palle S?rensen,
Abdul Sule, Sammy Youssouf, Nicolai Stokholm, Heine
Fernandez, Rasmus Daugaard, Kenny Thorup, Ali Akida,
Stephan M. Andersen, TC, Jesper Sorensen, Mohamed Zidan,
Nicolai Melchiorsen and Peter Benjaminsen.
The AB fans expected pretty much the same
side that played in the prevoius games, which most importantly
had Youssouf and Zidan leading the way in it.
Expectations: AB are expecting a good performance
to keep up their recent form. It will be tough though
as Farum are looking to clinch a UEFA Cup spot. As well
as this, AB Copenhagen are now safe, and the league
is tight so they have a lot to play for. Due to this,
an attacking game is expected.

The game:
First half:
3 mins: GOAL FOR AB, COMING FROM ZIDAN'S ASSIST!
Zidan's team-mate Youssouf scores early on after a nicely
played pass from the Egyptian which saw him through
on goal. 1-0.
AB started extremely fast, and could have been 4-0 up
after ten minutes.
10 mins: Zidan gets space for many shots, but
his many efforts on goal rose or went off target.
19 mins: EQUALISER! Thomas Andreasen scores a
lucky goal for Farum. He crosses the ball in but it
floats into the net. 1-1.
40 mins: ANOTHER GOAL FOR FARUM! Andreasen hits
the net again from a shot. 1-2.
50 mins: A fast start to the half sees chances
at either end. However, neither team is able to score.
Final score: AB 1-2 Farum.
Farum may still qualify for the UEFA Cup, while AB will
have to settle for a mid-table place. The league will
also be decided soon, as Brondby and AB's rivals FC
Copenhagen fight it out...
