Following his superb performance and six goals in February, Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan was chosen by Kicker Magazine as the Bundesliga player of the month.

Zidan's achievements with Mainz in one month exceeded the expectations as he led the struggling bottom side to move to the 10th spot in the table after winning 16 points out of possible 18 in the 2nd half of season.

The Egyptian scored 6 goals and Mainz never lost a game since the signing of Zizou and deserved to be the player of the month in the Bundesliga for the month of February according to Kicker Magazine, DSF and DFL.

It should be noted that this is the first time in Mainz history to have one of their players chosen for this award. However, Zidan's coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the Egyptian still has alot to offer and he expects even more from him.
