The Little Pharaoh does it again:

Zidan, or the "Little Pharaoh" as the German match commentator liked to call the Egyptian star, had another excellent game for Mainz as he led them to a 2-1 home win over Nurnberg.

Zidan was clearly the man of the match thanks to his double in the 20th and 27th minutes. He also had a penalty kick which wasn't given by the match referee despite the clear foul on the talented Egyptian inside the penalty area.

After 20 minutes from the kick off, Zidan scored his first goal which came through a good follow on a low shot by Soto, Zizou was well positioned and reacted quick to bury the ball home and gave his side the early lead.

Seven minutes later, the Egyptian shone one again as he got in one on one situation with Nurnberg goalkeeper and sent the ball confidently and gently into the far bottom corner to make the score 2-0.

In the 2nd half, Zidan got the ball inside the box in the 76th minute, the Egyptian managed to dribble past his man and was about to score his third but he was tackled by his marker inside the box. The match referee waved play on and didn't count the penalty kick for Zizou who could score his 2nd Bundesliga hat-trick if that spot kick was given.

In the 77th minute, Klopp decided to rest the furious and angry Zidan who came off and was replaced by Zsabics.

In the 85th minute, Mainz forward Andreasen made a harsh tackle on Nurnberg goalkeeper and was shown the red card. The homeside had to resume the game with 10 men on the field but they managed to maintain their lead to move one spot up in the table.

More than just a Win:

Zidan became the top scorer of the 2nd half of Bundesliga with 6 goals. The Egyptian also will likely be the man of the week for the 2nd time this season and will surely be picked in the best 11 this week.

Not only this, but Mainz became the best team in the 2nd half of season as they collected 16 points fom possible 18 points.

Now, Zidan and Mainz only need to keep this form up and it will not be a surprise if they achieved European qualification at end of season.
