Earlier this week, Werder Bremen's manager
Klaus Allofs had admitted that there is a big possiblity
of Zizou departing in January, particularly for a loan.
Now, the striker has spoken of his desire to leave,
but on a permanent basis.
"The problem at Bremen is that I'm not playing
a lot, so I'm open to all possibilities," said
Zidan to ViasatSport.
"The most important thing is that I join a club
where I get to play," he continued, before adding
that he would prefer to be sold as opposed to loaned
out again.
"I'd prefer not to get loaned out again. I'd rather
join a club that pays for me, and believes in me."
Zidan has not seen much action this season with Werder Bremen,
though he had a successful loan period at fellow Bundesliga
club Mainz. Now, serious interest in the Egyptian is being
shown by another German outfit: Hannover 96, who are expected
to put an offer in for the former Danish Player of the Year.
One thing is for sure: there will be much interest in Zidan
over the coming weeks...
