Werder Bremen will face Levski Sofia tonight in the Champions League. The Egyptian striker Zidan will not feature in the game as he didn't travel with the rest of the team because of an injury.

According to the club official website, Zizou is currently suffering from a groin injury and need rest for a few days. In addition to this, sources close to the player himself revealed that he felt severe abdominal pain and will travel to Berlin to undergo some medical investigations which will determine whether he will be in need of a surgery or not.

It should be noted that the Egyptian international was called for the national team together with Ghaly, Mido, Hassan and Amir Azmy for the friendly match versus South Africa on the 15th of November. However, if Zizou will undergo surgery in the coming days, he will likely miss the international friendly and Werder matches in the coming weeks as well.
