Zidan Scores in 3rd Friendly; Bremen Sign Portuguese Striker

Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan participated in Werder's 3rd friendly in the preseason against the amatuer side TSV Ottersberg. The game ended in a comfortable 10-0 victory for Bremen and Zizou scored once.

Werder Bremen played their 3rd preparation match for the new season. This time they faced the amatuer side TSV Ottersberg and the game ended in an easy 10-0 win for the Bremen based side.

Bremen played the match with two different teams, each team played for 45 minutes. Zidan was amongst the 2nd half team and he managed to score the last goal in the 90th minute of the game.

Aside from this news, Bremen signed another striker to replace Valdez. They signed the Portuguese international Hugo Almeida from FC Porto. The new signing will compete with Zidan, Klose and Klasnic for the two available striker spots in the starting eleven of the team.

It should be noted that Almeida played amongst the first half team and managed to score twice.


It is also worth mentioning that Werder's next friendly will be against Essen on Friday and EP will cover that match in more detail as the game will be televised.
