Zidan and his teammates at Mainz managed to win three
precious points from their away clash with Wolfsburg.
The game ended in an impressive 0-3 win for Mainz as
Thurk and Auer scored the three goals. Mohamed Zidan
was in the starting eleven and played 66 minutes before
he was replaced by Auer who scored the 2nd and 3rd goals.

The close to relegation sides, Wolfsburg and Mainz
faced each other in an important match. Mainz managed
to clinch victory and to win three precious points which
will help them greatly in avoiding relegation.
Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan played the game from the
start alongside Casey and Michael Thurk in attack. Zidan
didn't get clear chances throughout the game but he
created a dangerous chance for Casey in the first half.
Mainz were impressive from the start as they took the
lead after just five minutes from the kick off. The
goal came through Michael Thurk who received a low pass
and blasted a shot with his left into the far corner
to give Mainz the lead.
After the goal, Wolfsburg fought hard and tried to
come back into the game. They got a few close chances
but they weren't lucky with the finish.
On the other side, Mainz were happy to set back and
defend. However, their counter attacks caused alot of
troubles to Wolfsburg. From one of these counter attacks,
Zidan got the ball in the left wing and spotted Casey
in a good position in front of goal, Zizou crossed the
ball accurately to the American striker but the defense
cleared the ball away to safety in the right time.
In the 2nd half, Wolfsburg forced Mainz o defend and
they had more dangerous attempts on goal. However, Mainz
goalkeeper and defense helped in keeping the score 0-1.
In the 60th minute, a through pass was played to Wolfsburg's
forward Juan Menseguez who was onside and chipped the
ball over Mainz' goalkeeper into the back of the net.
However, the match referee disallowed the goal as the
referee's assistant had his flag up for offside.
