Mohamed Zidan's Mainz face FC Nurmberg
on Saturday afternoon and the game ended in a 3-0 away
loss for Zidan's side. The Egyptian missed the game
because of injury that will keep him out of action for
three weeks.
Mainz fell into the 15th sport in the table in absence
of Zizou who is currently unavailable due to knee injury.
Their away clash with the 11th side in the Bundesliga
table FC Nuremberg ended in a 3-0 loss.
An early goal in the 3rd minute via Ivan Saenko put
the homeside in the lead and Mainz couldn't recover
from the early shock and get back to the game. In the
2nd half, Stefan Kiessling scored the 2nd goal in the
68th minute and Robert Vittek added the 3rd in the 80th
minute of the game.
Conor Casey played alongside the topsorer of Mainz
Michael Thurk instead of the injured Egyptian but both
couldn't score throughout the game.
Despite the defeat, Mainz can still avoid relegation.
Their next match in the Bundesliga will be on Saturday
versus Hannover and Zizou won't be available to feature
in it as well.
